The goal of KIM (engl. Karlsruher integrated information management) is to enhance the excellence in education. This goal will be reached by improved integration of existing systems and data as well as traceability and simplification of underlying business processes.
The topics that we are mainly addressing in the KIM project are security and privacy. Both of them are essential because personal identifiable information has to be handled correctly and according to the current law. KIM aims at increasing the excellence in teaching by enhancing the university-wide integration of existing information systems and data as well as optimizing and simplifying the underlying business processes.
